Center for Resource Conservation

Founded in 1976, the Center for ReSource Conservation (CRC) is a Boulder-based 501(c)3
non-profit organization which empowers our community to conserve natural resources.  Each year, the CRC empowers more than 30,000 individuals to live a more sustainable life through educational programs and services designed to help members of our community conserve water and energy and minimize waste.

Contractors to present up to eight, 2-hour homeowner focused energy efficiency and renewable energy presentations during the month of April.  Topics to be covered will range from simple do it yourself fixes and the benefits of higher level improvements such as insulation and sealing, heating and cooling, hot water heating and renewables.  The workshops will also cover ClimateSmart Loan program requirements, eligible measures, the loan application process, project timelines/deadlines, and other key information related to the program. Presenters must be able to discuss in detail individual energy efficiency and renewable energy measures from novice to expert level.
Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or higher in related field
• Advanced knowledge of residential energy efficiency, building science, and renewable energy.
• Demonstrated superior, succinct presentation skills

Residential Energy Action Program (REAP) Manager  The Residential Energy Action Program (REAP) provides education, outreach and awareness to help kick-start homeowner initiate and finance energy efficiency improvements and support Boulder County’s greenhouse gas management goals. The program includes promoting and processing subsidized energy audits, reviewing energy audit reports, creating  “Action Plans” for homeowners that include reviewing contractor’s estimates, cost-effectiveness of retrofits, efficient technologies, energy reduction monitoring and prioritizing projects based upon available financing, incentives/rebates and matching funds from local governments.  The REAP program is administered and delivered by the CRC for local governments. The Boulder County Department of Housing and Human Services, Longs Peak Energy Conservation (LPEC), is hiring two Weatherization Worker II, Energy Auditor positions to perform a variety of weatherization audits and improvements on homes, which have been determined as eligible for low-income home energy assistance.
