Air Seal: 2 positions available- Installer: Labor position, 30-40 hrs per wk, working in attics, crawlspaces and basements. Will do air sealing work and installing insulation. We usually start every third day at a new location, Installer must be of good character and honest. Jobs take 2-3 days ea, working all over the Denver Metro region, but mostly in Boulder county. Should have own transportation to and from work or option to ride with Crew foreman from Longmont shop. OTJ training Pay is $11.50 hr [for profit] work only ARRA funded work, pays Davis Bacon wage at $16.80/hr, for retro government funded projects.
Lead Crew Technician: Responsible for crew, driving work vehicle and trailers, customer service skills. Also will be the lead, working in attics, crawlspaces and basements. Must have own transportation and able to follow instructions well. We start every day in Longmont. Regular pay rate is $13/hr {for profit work only] 30-40 hrs per wk, ARRA funded work, pays Davis Bacon wage at $16.80/hr, for retro government funded projects. Must have valid driver’s license, social security card and pass background check.
The Davis Bacon work is secondary to “for – profit” work. We get really busy doing “for profit” work late October through February with Davis Bacon filling in the slow weeks between. The Davis Bacon work picks back up full time March through September.

Key Responsibilities and Contribution Areas:
- The Auditor provides support, e.g. to resolve technical and procedural problems. Develops, improves and provides procedural support to staff at all levels as appropriate. Decisions are typically task-related with impact on delivering quality service.
- The successful applicant must be able to apply comprehensive knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in the building science knowledge disciplines. Application of working knowledge in other related disciples to complete projects is desired. This includes developing or supporting projects within the scope of the Existing Home Program.
- The successful candidate must be able to perform work without a great deal of direction. Considerable latitude is needed to determine the objectives of the assignment. Independently determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Work is reviewed upon completion of adequacy in meeting objectives.
- The successful applicant must possess the ability to determine the underlying issues and recommend improvement/changes by applying technical knowledge to problems and issues while following procedures.
- Completing audits and preparing accurate reports in a timely and efficient manner is required.
- Professional, interpersonal communication and collaborative skills are required. The ability to function as a Project Lead and lead/direct the work of other contributors may be required. Establishing and maintaining a collaborative work and team relationships within the company is very important.
- This position also requires outstanding customer service skills and displaying a professional manner while representing the company
Technical Requirements:
- BPI ((Building Performance Institute) or RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network) certification is required.
- A minimum of five years of related work experience is desired. Construction trades or complimentary professional field experience (e.g., HVAC, Architecture) is of added value.
- Ability to perform air leakage tests with blower-door, operate carbon monoxide detector, combustion analysis equipment and infrared camera and accurately interpret IR images.
- Satisfactorily learn and perform home energy audit methods which include entering and inspecting all areas of homes.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Consistently and accurately complete energy audit field sheets as well as required reports.
- Familiarity or experience with programs such as Energy Star, Indoor Air Plus, Water Sense, Builders Challenge and LEED-H is desired.
