Please feel free to comment here on the new functionality of the BGBG website. We've added numerous features to the site including online registration for events and the ability for members to edit their own profiles. Let us know what you think!

I invite you all to the Kitchens on Fire tour Friday and Saturday, May 16 & 17. The home at 435 Quail will feature "green" cabinets by Plato Woodworks and the home at 2930 17th Street will feature "green" cabinets by locally owned American Loft Cabinetry. Proceeds from the tour benefit the Dairy Center for the Arts.  Margie McCulloch, RED PEPPER kitchen + bath

I am a new member and relatively new to the site. Frankly, I think you guys did an amazing job. It's clean, intuitive and highly functional. This was not a trivial job. Love the edit profile page... I've already re-uploaded my logo!

The site is really great!  Can you add an easy "renew membership" button or link?  I had a little trouble figuring out how to renew.  I ended up having to go to 'view profile' to git er done!  Who knew?

    Thanks! :)

I love the site but do have problems with the Events page causing my computer to slow to a crawl and almost freeze up. If this is an issue with my PC, I apologize.

    thanks

Danny- We have discovered that our events page is simply getting big enough that slower internet connections or older computers are getting bogged down. This is a struggle for us as we really want to have a full events calendar but want folks to be able to load it. Often events can be found in the side menu bar under a corresponding category such as Brown Bags or reached directly through a link from one of our EBlasts. I know this is not ideal but we haven't' figured out how to address it. Though we are now fully aware of the problems that have arisen from populating our calendar with events so far out into the future. Kind Regards, Meagan Forney

Eric Van Orden - Efficiency First and Standard Renewable Energy
Many of us preach the financial benefits of renewable energy and energy efficiency home improvements, along with comfort, energy independence and environmental impact. The reduction on a monthly energy bill can help to identify savings after improvements, but how should this direct financial benefit be identified for home buyers? Should home inspectors or appraisers become more energy savvy? Is it up the real estate agent or part of the homeowner due diligence?
