So, it's been long talked about that there needs to be one great resource for identifying green homes, rentals, commercial buildings, renovations & developments in the area, yet no one has really put anything together yet... until now. Together, we have the knowledge and the resources. We know the people and the projects. I'm asking for your help to identify green residential and commercial buildings, old, new, under-construction and planned but not-yet-built so that we can begin to identify what our local inventory really looks like. With this information, I can begin to perform the market research on the performance of these buildings in the marketplace and begin to unravel the terrible tangle of green building appraisal. With this information, we can all easily identify outstanding projects in our community, and even the professionals with whom we may enjoy working in the future. In my opinion (which few consider humble, to be honest) these data compiled in one single location can be extremely useful to everyone in the industry, and may even help Boulder gain more national and international recognition as a community wherein the built environment can be quantifiably said to support the natural environment... and after all, isn't that what we're all about. I'm willing to dedicate the staff time to compile the data, but I need your help and input to gather it all up. If you or ANYONE you know have been involved with or know of any green residential or commercial building projects in or around Boulder County please send me an email with the project address(es) and whatever you may know about it. Remember: retrofits/renovations, new builds, under-construction, planned, or simply conceived all count and will all help the credibility and completeness of this undertaking.
